Now accepting applications for Summer 2008

Like last year’s program, students on the GT @ Tec de Monterrey program will enroll in two classes during Tec de Monterrey’s regular summer school schedule and will live on campus with other international and Tec students. All students will take Contemporary Mexico, taught by the program director, in English. 5-10 Monterrey Tec students will also be enrolled in this class. Students will then take a second course from among the courses offered by Monterrey Tec. The second courses that are guaranteed to be offered are: Latin American Social and Cultural History (HTS 3XXX), Doing Business in Mexico (MGT 4XXX), and Spanish (1000 and 2000 level language). A variety of advanced Spanish electives will also be offered, and students will take a Spanish placement test.

In 2008, the group will also take two weekend trips outside of Monterrey. One is planned for the first weekend to Veracruz, a Caribbean port city in Southern Mexico. A second trip is planned for the middle of the program to Guanajuato, a colonial college town in Central Mexico. These trips are included in the Program Fee.

Additional details about the Summer ‘08 program at Monterrey Tec can be found by following the links at the top of the page. You can also read comments from the 2007 group, see the 2007 facebook group, check out the 2007 student blog, view program pictures, or join the mailing list to get updates about the 2008 program.

You can also email Dr. Michelle Dion (mdion |at| gatech.edu) with questions.

Or, apply now! The application deadline is February 15 and the program is filling fast.
